About Us
Come experience the serene northwoods at Crystal Waters Resort located on Fortune Lake, a
chain of five beautiful, clean, spring-fed lakes extending over two miles in length. The five-acre
resort has six modern full-house-keeping cottages all facing the lake with spectacular,
unobstructed views. The grassy front lawn gently slopes to 300 feet of shoreline with a sandy-
bottom swimming area safe for the little ones. Our large metal pier and floating raft are ideal for
sun bathing and diving.
Our modern 2, 3, and 4 bedroom housekeeping cottages are fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave,
dishes, tableware, and all cooking utensils. They are clean and comfortable with spacious interiors, modern
baths with showers, gas heat, television and VCR.
We furnish all the bedding but ask that you please bring your own towels. The newly built deluxe cottages have
knotty pine interiors and spacious carports.
All cottages are close to the water and have a large picture window, patio area, picnic table, lawn chairs,
barbecue grill, and private pier. Each cottage is furnished with a 14 foot Alumacraft boat and if needed, we
have motor rentals, gas and oil.
Fisherman will find excellent fishing for bass, walleye, northern, crappie, rainbow trout, jumbo perch, and
assorted pan fish. For your convenience we have a screened fish cleaning house and freezer to store your
catch.
For the adventurous, kayaks, canoes and a paddle boat. For the little ones, a play area with swings and
sandbox. For the competitive, basketball and horseshoes.
Nearby are golf courses, casinos, and stables. Public tennis courts are within walking distance. The area is
famous for their many waterfalls, hiking trails, museums and parks.
Dining in the area is plentiful and varied. And of course, one of the best reasons to visit is our scenery. Every
season has its beauty, but the fall colors of Michigan's northwoods are breathtaking for either photographers
or those who love to walk nature's trails.
Birders: The resort is host to Michigan/Wisconsin Bird Watch from mid to late May. The area is a migratory hot-
spot and provides excellent viewing of a variety of birds for every season.
Hunting: For the rifle hunter or archer, there are deer, bear, ruffed grouse, duck, partridge, and turkey.
Skiing and Snowmobiling: For the downhill skiers, Ski Brule and Pine Mountain are within 30 minutes. There are
numerous trails close by for both amateur and intermediate cross country skiers as well as snowmobilers. The
pure white beauty of Michigan winters are a special treat for sports enthusiast.
